                                  Accommodation

Hotel in Salisbury. Salisbury has several charming hotels, many with long and colourful histories. Based on your requirements, we will recommend the best hotel for your needs. This can be on a room only basis, with breakfast or including an evening meal. There are many restaurants in the city if you prefer to eat out.
Hotel in Salisbury
With so many visitors each year, hotels in Salisbury get booked up quickly and early booking is essential. In summer it is unwise to arrive without a reservation and it is advisable to book in advance when staying anywhere in England. If you just turn up at a hotel you will pay the full price. Cheaper hotel deals are available if you book in advance.
We have negotiated a special deal with the White Hart Hotel, a former coaching Inn, for our guests. The rate is £75 per person Dinner B&B. Rates are subject to availability.

The hotel is located in the centre of the city and you will be assured of a warm welcome, excellent service and good food. Our rates represent excellent value for money.

Other hotels in Salisbury

We have looked at a number of websites with the best choice of hotels in Salisbury. You will usually get a better rate than booking direct or turning up without a booking. The listing covers a 15 miles radius. Our summary of the hotels and B&Bs featured is;

Red Lion Hotel. Typical old coaching inn, in central Salisbury. Beautiful hotel that is close to all the sights.

Milford Hall Classic Hotel.
About a 4 minute walk from the Market Square, the service is second-to-none. Has many ground floor rooms and, being set back from the road, is quieter than most.

Byways House Very popular with only a very short walk to the city centre. Has larger rooms sleeping upto 4 people.

Cathedral Hotel. Not a hotel in the conventional sense, but more rooms above a very large pub.

Kings Arms Hotel Opposite the Cathedral. It has some beautiful period rooms with low beamed ceilings. Huge amount of history attached to the building.

Legacy Rose and Crown Hotel
Newly refurbished and part of a small chain of hotels, just across the bridge from the Cathedral and an easy 10 minute walk to the city centre

Grasmere House Hotel
Just across the bridge from the Cathedral with probably the best views of the Cathedral from any hotel. Situated on the banks of the rivers Avon and Nadder with picturesque gardens.

The Old Mill Hotel Restaurant
As its name suggests a charming converted old mill in an idyllic location. At least a 10 min walk across the meadows from the centre, but you will get the views that John Constable painted on the way.

Victoria Lodge, Parklane and Rokeby guest houses
All three are B&Bs outside of the ring road. A bit of a walk into the centre accross a busy road through underpasses.

City Lodge
New and right in the centre of the City. One of the cheapest hotels you will find, but still good quality. It is room only and it doesn't provide any meals. For an early breakfast come out of the Lodge turn right, at the end of the street turn right and then right again at the lights. About 50 metres along on the left is the Kings Head below.

The Kings Head Inn - Wetherlodge
Right in the centre and close to the railway station. Does not provide breakfast though the pub downstairs (which it is part of) opens at 7 am (8 am Sundays) for meals.

Cricket Field House Hotel
Lovely family run small hotel on the outskirts of the city. Bit of a walk into the centre, but a great place.

The Inn at High Post
About 4 miles out of Salisbury. Part of it is an old converted airfield control tower from a now non existent WWII airfield. Has a leisure club.

Cathedral View
A B&B in a great location opposite the Cathedral, but doesn't take credit cards.

Hotels nearest to Stonehenge

The Antrobus Hotel
A gem of a hotel. An old coaching inn where the Beatles stayed in 1965 when filming Help!. Good food and good range of beers. Situated in Amesbury which is small and quiet. Nearest large town is Salisbury some 10 miles away.

Holiday Inn Salisbury - Stonehenge
Everything you would expect a Holiday Inn to be. Large, shiny, and clean. Trouble is that it sits next to a major road on its own and is 10 miles away from Salisbury!
